Fiss, our home, lies at an altitude of 1,436 m and nestles among lovely meadows and alpine pastures. Our four hectares of meadows extend up to 1,700 m and are mown during the summer months and harvested as fodder for the winter season. The different grasses and herbs enrich the diet of our sturdy Tyrolean Grey cattle and horses, making them healthy and strong.
Our “Gedirge”, which lies at an altitude of around 1,600 m, is the crowning glory of our meadows. It takes a lot of manual labour and many volunteers to get the hay in before sundown.
